Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician at our Greene, NY site. The role focuses on supporting the development, integration, and testing of electric forklift systems with hands-on harness fabrication, diagnostic work, and prototype evaluation.

You will read schematics, build test fixtures, operate instrumentation, and collaborate with engineering teams. In-person position with relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2+ years hands-on electrical experience.
• Hands-on harness and panel fabrication skills (crimping, soldering, assembly).
• Understanding of low-voltage DC electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, harness drawings, and datasheets.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.
• Adaptability to changing priorities in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and create schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts for test fixtures.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair harnesses, power harnesses, panels, and fixtures.
• Operate electrical test equipment: multimeters, scopes, data loggers.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems on forklifts, fixtures, and prototype equipment.
• Install, calibrate, and test motor controllers and wiring harnesses.
• Build and support test stands and fixtures for electrical integration and testing.
• Document testing and troubleshooting activities using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Creo Schematics.
• Maintain lab equipment and 5S practices.
