Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Electrical System Development Engineer to lead end-to-end electrical design for robotics, automation, and material handling within Amazon operations. The role spans concept through pilot validation to scaled deployment, owning development workstreams and delivering safe, reliable systems at scale.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
3+ years designing automation or robotics systems.
Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
Experience developing electrical schematics or system architecture diagrams.

Responsibilities

Define system requirements and acceptance criteria from customer needs.
Design electrical architectures integrating power, controls, networks and safety.
Translate architectures into modular, deployable designs for deployment and maintenance.
Develop and maintain schematics in EPLAN; manage BOMs and PLM changes.
Perform load calculations, fault current, protective-device coordination and SCCR.
