Job summary

The Toro Company is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer in Bloomington, MN to lead system-level electrification, controls, and integration for electrified machines. You will bridge mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines, guiding designs from concept through launch and validating performance, safety, and reliability.

Applicants should have ABET-accredited Electrical/Mechatronics degrees and 2+ to 8+ years in product development, with strong collaboration and English communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field from ABET-accredited university.
• Engineer II–IV levels require 2+ to 8+ years of electromechanical product development experience.
• Experience in system-level controls, electrification, and diagnostics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical and controls at system level for electro-mechanical machines; define requirements and interfaces.
• Design, integrate, and test system components to meet performance, safety, and cost targets.
• Develop embedded control software (C/C++), and work with MATLAB/Simulink or LabVIEW for modeling and testing.
• Lead hands-on prototyping, instrumentation, and integration of electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Perform validation, safety, and compliance activities with internal teams and external labs.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
