Job summary

Ampa is a pioneering neurotechnology startup that is developing brain stimulation systems to help eradicate depression. We’re seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the design of a high-power non-invasive TMS system, driving architecture, PCB design, and firmware in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to a scalable platform, work with multidisciplinary teams, and have the opportunity to build a team as the company grows while receiving significant equity and a secure

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the field; Bachelor in EE required, masters preferred.
• Experience designing high-power electronic systems for medical devices is a plus.
• Ability to lead architecture and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design system architecture and integrate subsystems.
• Design and lay out control PCBs and key electronics.
• Firmware development in C++.
• Specify components and ensure regulatory standards.
• Develop tests, manage safety risks, and align with medical device standards.
• Oversee contractors and vendors; maintain design documentation.
