Job summary

Bedrock Robotics is seeking an Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to be the "architect of the nervous system" for our autonomous construction machines. You will bridge architectural theory and physical reality by designing robust power distribution networks, high-speed data links, and integrated sensor/ECU systems.

This cross-functional role requires collaboration with mechanical, software, operations, and manufacturing teams to ensure every sensor, ECU, compute, and harness is integrated

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in vehicle or heavy machinery electrical systems integration.
  • Deep understanding of high-speed SerDes (GMSL/FPD-Link) and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Hands-on CAN/LIN network design and debugging.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (Cadonix Arcadia, Mentor Graphics Capital, Zuken E3.series) and 3D routing tools (OnShape, CATIA V5/V6 Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, Siemens NX).

Responsibilities

  • Electrical integration: Lead the physical and logical integration of the Bedrock autonomy kit onto machine platforms, ensuring EMC and signal integrity.
  • Power distribution architecture: Design and optimize low voltage distribution systems for reliability and safety.
  • Communication protocol implementation: Define and validate hardware-level communication for sensors and ECUs using CAN, LIN, GMSL, and Automotive Ethernet.
  • 3D CAD design: Model electrical routing and mounting within complex mechanical envelopes.
  • Vendor management: Coordinate with harness vendors from RFQ through DFM cycles.
  • Project management: Track timelines and risk, lead bring-up phases for prototypes.
  • Testing & validation: Use oscilloscopes, CAN tools, and TDR for high-speed data line validation.
