Ameren Missouri is recruiting a trainee System Tester to learn under supervision and progress toward skilled testing roles. The program covers testing, calibration, repair of relays and metering devices, and safety-compliant operations in varying environments.

The role includes handling equipment, driving to job sites, and advancing through stages of training with increasing independence. A strong technical foundation and CDL are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or successful completion of a recognized high school equivalency examination.
• Must pass the E.E.I. Technical Aptitude Test.
• Successfully complete the Evaluation Stage (EV) with a grade of 80% or higher.
• Course requirements from an ABET accredited college with an Associate in Electrical or Electronics Technology; grade C or higher.
• OR a two-year Associate Degree in Electrical or Electronic Technology from a recognized institution; coursework includes AC/DC, microprocessors, digital logic, PLC; grade C or higher.

Responsabilités

• Test, calibrate, and repair relays and metering devices.
• Trace out, locate, and repair trouble.
• Perform tests on system equipment and customer equipment.
• Test insulating qualities and interpret insulation test results.
• Make functional tests of control circuits.
• Make complete and comprehensive load checks.
• Test reclosers and sectionalizing devices.
• Prepare necessary reports.
• Switching, test and operate equipment with safety responsibilities.
