Ameren Missouri is seeking a learner in training for advancement to a skilled System Tester. This 112-week program trains in testing, calibrating, and repairing relays and metering devices, with progression to more complex tasks under supervision.

Position includes gaining hands-on experience, safety training, and reporting duties. Applicants should meet ABET/ACET standards, pass required tests, and secure a CDL if applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass EEI Technical Aptitude test.
• Complete EV with 80%+.
• ABET-accredited AS degree in Electrical/Electronics Tech with grade C+ in each course.
• Alternative: 2-year AA/AS in Electrical or Electronics Tech with coursework including AC/DC, microprocessors, digital logic, PLC, grade C+ or higher.
• AC/DC equivalency test with 50%+ if degree not ABET-accredited.
• Complete and pass ABET Schematic/Wiring Print course with grade C+ or higher or an equivalency test.
• Must secure and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Must meet requirements for working at Callaway Plant.

Responsabilités

• Test, calibrate, and repair relays and metering devices.
• Trace out, locate, and repair trouble.
• Perform tests on system equipment and customer equipment.
• Test insulation qualities and interpret insulation test results.
• Make functional tests of control circuits.
• Conduct load checks and prepare reports.
• Test reclosers and sectionalizing devices.
• Switch and operate equipment with protection responsibilities.

AA in Electrical/Electronic Technology or related field
