Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a contract role in Elgin, IL. You will build low and medium voltage switchgear cabinets from start to finish, interpreting blueprints and work orders, gathering materials, and using hand and power tools to assemble modular cabinets and copper bus assemblies.

Expect duties like layout verification with a tape measure, basic inspections, and collaboration with team members to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficient with manual hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately for layout.
• Strong math skills including fractions and decimals.
• English fluency for safety and performance.

Responsibilities
