Job summary

Daksta is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on major electrical construction projects, with a focus on data center work. The role demands hands-on electrical expertise and leadership of field teams to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality installations.

Ideal candidates will have progressed through the trade as an Electrician, Foreman, or General Foreman and possess strong knowledge of codes and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on electrical background and trade progression (Electrician, Foreman, General Foreman).
• Experience as Electrical Superintendent or equivalent in large projects preferred.
• Data center construction experience with electrical contractor background is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day electrical field operations on major construction projects.
• Manage and coordinate Electrical Foremen, electricians, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and daily work activities to maintain project progress.
• Coordinate electrical installation activities with Project Managers, General Contractors, Superintendents, engineers, and other trades.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents to ensure proper planning and execution.
• Establish priorities and sequencing to maintain schedules and milestones.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship, and installation quality in the field.
• Ensure installations meet drawings, codes, and project requirements.
• Identify field issues and develop practical solutions to keep work moving.
• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure availability of equipment and materials.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, coordination, and progress meetings.
• Communicate field progress and requirements to project management; monitor safety adherence.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, inspections, and quality-control activities.
• Support commissioning, testing, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to field personnel.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on major electrical construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have data center construction experience working for an electrical contractor.

The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on electrical background, having progressed through the trade as an Electrician, Electrical Foreman or General Foreman. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day electrical construction activities, leading field teams, coordinating with project management and other trades, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical field leader who understands large-scale construction from the ground up and is comfortable managing complex electrical installations in demanding project environments.

Compensation: $200,000–$300,000 full compensation package, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and ensure field personnel follow all applicable safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct or participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, inspections, and quality-control activities.
• Help manage commissioning, testing, punch list, and project closeout activities.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to field personnel.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Superintendent
• Strong experience working for an electrical contractor.
• Previous experience with data center construction is strongly preferred.
• Must have a genuine electrical trade background, with previous hands-on experience as an Electrician, Electrical Foreman, General Foreman, or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical construction methods and installation practices.
• Experience leading large electrical crews on complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, one-lines, schedules, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, quality requirements, and construction best practices.
• Proven ability to plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and installation activities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage field personnel.
• Ability to work closely with project management, general contractors, owners, engineers, and other trades.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Ability and willingness to work full-time at project sites and travel as required.
• $200,000–$300,000 full compensation package, depending on experience.
