Viridian Energy Consulting seeks a superintendent to run the full electrical scope on utility-scale solar projects in South Carolina, coordinating subcontractors and in-house crews with safety front and center.

Looking for a superintendent seat with a company that’s already planning your next project?
This EPC is growing fast and hiring superintendents to stay for the long run. It’s a permanent, salaried role with a training plan behind it.
You’ll run the full electrical scope on utility-scale solar projects in South Carolina. That covers subcontractors and self-perform crews, MV cable trenching and direct burial, and messenger wire systems, with safety at the front of every decision alongside the safety team.
The commercial side is yours too. You’ll review labor, material and equipment costs every week, keep the schedule honest, and sit in the job start and close-out meetings. When a cost or schedule problem shows up, you’re the one working it through with project management.
And you’ll lead people. Coaching your crews, giving straight feedback and managing performance is a big part of this job.
On site in northeast South Carolina, across two utility-scale solar builds of 105 MW and 86 MW, both a short drive from Hartsville. Expect long days outdoors in the heat, rain and wind.
When those projects finish, you move with the company to the next build. That’s most likely Texas, but it could be anywhere in the US. If you’d rather stay in one place, this isn’t the right fit.
The pipeline keeps getting bigger. The division started with a 72 MW project in Texas and has since built at 250 and 275 MW. They want superintendents who’ll grow with that work over years, backed by in-house leadership training, coaching and mentorship, and a career path mapped out with you.
The culture is high energy and low ego. People question decisions openly, and an honest mistake is treated as something to learn from.
Base salary up to $115k, plus a $1,000 weekly allowance (taxable).
On top of that:
Time off is 3 weeks’ PTO (4 after five years), plus 10 paid holidays and 3 floating days you pick yourself. Healthcare covers medical, dental and vision, with virtual medical and mental health visits, an HSA and an employee assistance program.
This is the energy division of one of the US’s largest civil contractors, set up as a joint venture with a global infrastructure business listed on the NASDAQ. The team has more than 2 GW of solar, storage and wind projects behind it.
