Job summary

Prism Electric is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations for electrical construction projects across Texas and Oklahoma. You will supervise crews, coordinate with the project team, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time execution.

Candidates should have substantial experience supervising on construction sites, knowledge of NEC and local codes, and strong leadership and communication skills. This role is on-site with the ability to manage multiple crews and schedules in a dynamic

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operations on the construction sites.
• Monitor the short‑term schedule.
• Review, and support the hiring needs.
• Quality control & coordination responsibilities with other trades.
• Train, manage and evaluate project team members.
• Assist Project Manager in preparing construction schedules.
• Make daily schedules for proper manpower utilization.
• Maintain daily reports, time sheets, safety and accident reports.
• Coordinate production with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve conflicts.
• Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs.
• Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure materials are expedited and received as needed.
• Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards.
• Communicate project issues to Project Manager.
• Counsel employees and document corrective actions.
• Ensure proper paperwork and counseling before layoff or termination.
• Ensure installations are correct per NEC, codes and drawings.
• Conduct 90-day and annual reviews and end-of-project reviews.
• Other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve any conflicts
• Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs
• Coordinate work with Purchasing to insure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of project
• Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards
• Recognize and communicate to Project Manager any priority project problems, such as employee, job costing issues or any need for concern
• Responsible for empowering, training and helping with the growth and development of all field employees
• Responsible for the counseling of employees, including the writing/filing and follow‑up or corrective measures to be taken for each offense
• Responsible for ensuring that the proper paperwork and counseling has been recorded prior to any employee being notified of a layoff or termination.
• Responsible for ensuring that all installations are correct per NEC, city codes and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct 90 day and annual reviews as well as end‑of‑project reviews for specific job performance
• Other duties as required

The job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold , rain . Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses always), respirator when required. Able to work 8 –10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job
