Position Overview:
SkillForce is urgently seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for immediate hire in Newtown, PA. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on leader with a strong background in heavy industrial electrical work on infrastructure projects.
You will be responsible for supervising multiple crews, managing field operations, and ensuring all safety, quality, and schedule requirements are met across various job sites.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects with multiple crews
Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
Demonstrate knowledge of heavy industrial electrical systems
Prepare work plans including conduit layout, duct bank specs, equipment mounting, and wire tagging
Perform calculations (e.g., voltage drop, conduit fill, wire/breaker sizing) as needed
Review material datasheets and ensure project compliance
Order and track materials across projects
Analyze control diagrams and troubleshoot systems
Coordinate with Project Managers to meet deadlines
Conduct site visits and oversee quality control audits
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in electrical construction projects
Hands-on field experience is required
Technical or Electrical degree is a plus
Strong ability to manage labor and project costs
Able to lead field crews on multiple projects
Excellent team leadership and communication skills
Familiarity with OSHA standards and QA/QC practices
Strong awareness of industry best practices
Qualifications:
Electrical license is a plus
