Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for our Power Delivery Services Group. The ideal candidate should have experience and the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, enthusiastic, and professional while maintaining confidentiality. As a superintendent, you will coordinate, plan, and supervise assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities within your discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical work projects on the building site
• Ensure high-quality installation of electrical components including underground cabling, overhead lines, and substations
• Review drawings, constructability, submittals, and provide feedback to ensure compliance with specifications
• Collaborate with the Sr. Superintendent on formwork, equipment sizing, and site utilization
• Develop and update project schedules and create 3-week look-aheads
• Supervise work quality, including self-performed and subcontracted tasks
• Manage interface with personnel related to connecting the project to the power grid
• Supervise fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and termination
• Participate in project meetings and liaise between field engineers and contractors to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 12 years of experience with high and medium voltage equipment and cable, transmission/collection lines, and substation construction
• Minimum 13 years of supervisory experience
• Proficiency in high and medium-voltage cable testing and maintenance
• Knowledge of electrical drawings, underground systems, SCADA, transmission, and substation construction
• Familiarity with NESC, NEC, IEEE, OSHA standards and safety practices
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel 100%

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $122,600 to $183,900, with higher ranges for specific locations.
