Job summary

Axiom Space seeks a bold and dynamic Manager, Electrical Specialties to lead a team ensuring electrical integrity, reliability, and compliance of aerospace systems. The role covers EMI/EMC, EEE parts engineering, radiation effects, grounding, and mission assurance across spacecraft and avionics.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in aerospace with 3+ years of leadership, strong technical leadership, and a track record of delivering high-reliability hardware in fast-paced programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience in aerospace, defense, space systems, or other high-reliability industries, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of technical leadership or people management experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in EMI/EMC, EEE Parts Engineering, Radiation Effects, Grounding & Bonding, or Mission Assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Electrical Specialties engineers supporting EMI/EMC, EEE parts, radiation effects, grounding and bonding, and related reliability disciplines.
• Establish technical strategy, priorities, and resource plans to support spacecraft, avionics, payload, and aerospace system development programs.
• Oversee EMI/EMC analyses, testing, and qualification activities to ensure compliance with mission, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Direct EEE parts selection, qualification, approval, obsolescence management, and failure review processes for high-reliability applications.
• Provide technical leadership for radiation effects assessment, mitigation strategies, and component suitability for mission environments.
• Review and approve engineering analyses, requirements, specifications, test plans, and certification documentation.
• Partner with systems, hardware, software, manufacturing, quality, and program management teams to resolve complex technical issues and reduce program risk.
