Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking an Electrical Specialist for the Maintenance Department at the Louisiana Integrated Polyethylene JV in Westlake, LA. You will work with Maintenance Technicians to provide field technical support, plan large-scale energy isolation procedures, and coordinate electrical testing with contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. Completion of recognized program such as NETA Electrical Level 2, NCCER, or an Associates degree in Electrical.
• Minimum 7-10 years of Relay Protection Scheme/Electrical Testing/Troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and NFPA-70E requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute large-scale energy isolation procedures.
• Coordinate with craft and specialty contractors for electrical testing and inspection.
• Provide technical support for Operations, Electrical Engineers, Maintenance, HSE, Capital Projects and Turnaround.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical equipment including relays, transformers, MCCs, switchgear, and VFDs.
• Support unit PHAs and act as a technical resource for engineers and operations.
