Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking an Electrical Specialist in Theodore, AL to identify, develop, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance for electrical systems across multiple facilities.

You will maintain distribution systems, substations, breakers, switchgear, and transformers up to 138 kV, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology or equivalent field experience.
• Five years or more of experience maintaining medium voltage electrical systems in an industrial setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated field service experience and ability to support industrial electrical maintenance teams.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will identify, develop, and implement preventive and predictive programs as well as corrective maintenance solutions for electrical systems and equipment across multiple facilities
• In this role you will maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution systems and equipment including substations, breakers, switchgear, motor control centers, protective relay systems, battery and uninterruptible power systems, and transformers up to one hundred thirtyeight kilovolts
• You shall handle induction and synchronous motors up to forty thousand horsepower and fifteen thousand volts with precision, safety, and disciplined procedures
• Deliver effective preventive and corrective maintenance by planning, scheduling, coordinating, leading, and executing work in accordance with established standards
• Additionally engage in predictive maintenance activities such as infrared thermography, transformer oil analysis, partial discharge analysis, and power quality analysis to guarantee reliability
• Furthermore work independently in both office and field environments, making sound technical decisions, accessing elevated equipment in all weather conditions, and traveling domestically approximately twenty percent with availability during offhours

What makes you great

• You are an electrical professional holding an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology or have at least five years of experience maintaining medium voltage electrical systems and equipment in an industrial environment
• You will demonstrate handson experience as a field service engineer, representative, technician, electrician, power distribution technician, or project manager supporting industrial electrical maintenance
• In addition you should show deep knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methods for industrial electrical systems and equipment and the ability to communicate clearly while collaborating effectively with teams
• You shall manage multiple tasks with discipline, achieve results with minimal supervision, and utilize computers and standard software packages such as Microsoft Office with confidence
• Additionally preferred qualifications include a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology or two years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in an industrial environment, along with proven capability in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of medium voltage electrical systems and equipment
• Furthermore you understand regulatory and industrial standards, codes, control and instrumentation systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management System tools such as Infor Enterprise Asset Management, upholding Linde's inclusive, safetyfocused, reliabilitydriven culture
