Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for a McCamey, TX assignment. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, reading drawings, and operating testing equipment.

You will troubleshoot to improve performance, inspect work for safety, and ensure NEC/OSHA standards are met while coordinating with engineers and energy providers. A Journeyman license and oilfield experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for complex problems in electrical distribution systems.
• Capable of installing, troubleshooting, and repairing switchboard control panels and components, motor circuits, building and lighting circuits, and control circuits.
• Capable of understanding mechanical relay logic and ladder logic.
• Capable of programming simple ladder logic and VFDs.
• Proficient at reading electrical installation drawings, circuit schedules, plans, area class, motor schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient at using all test equipment associated with troubleshooting electrical equipment.
• Knowledgeable of NEC and OSHA standards.
• Able to safely supervise electrical contract work.
• Able to interface with electrical engineers and energy providers.
• Able to perform preventive maintenance on low voltage electrical equipment such as switchgear, breakers, etc.
• Good computer skills.
• Team oriented, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in working with 4160 VAC systems.
• Skilled in overhead power line troubleshooting.
• Comprehensive understanding of MCC operations.
• Knowledgeable in substation functionality and procedures.
• Knowledgeable in synchronous motors troubleshooting and operation.
