Bird Electric is seeking licensed journeyman electricians and apprentices for projects in the Midland, TX area. Responsibilities include maintaining PLCs, 480V power, 120V control circuits, transformers and motors, and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems.

Ideal candidates will interpret electrical diagrams, follow NEC standards, and complete work safely under varying conditions including direct sun, inclement weather, or night shifts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NEC code book and ability to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with motors, transformers, control circuits and PLCs preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret 3-phase wiring, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and industrial equipment.
• Maintain and test switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
• Install wiring, panels, conduits, and motor terminations.
• Ensure safety and efficiency on job sites and complete customer requests daily.

Bird Electric currently seeking Texas Licensed Journeyman Electrician and Apprentice Electricians for projects in the Midland, Tx area.

Electricians will be expected to maintain and assist PLC's, 480V power, 120V control circuits, transformers & motors, electronic controls, Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and industrial equipment such as motors, starters, relays, AC, and DC solid state drives or PLCs. Interpret , 3-Phase work, motor terminations, control and instrument troubleshooting and panel work. Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.

Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors. Test and install electrical motors, and pneumatic electrical control systems. Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices. Install electrical circuits and equipment including panels.

Also responsible for the completion of customer requests on a daily basis while establishing a safe and efficient work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a knowledge of and ability to interpret the NEC Code Book.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Must be safety-minded and follow safety regulations.
• Must be able to work in direct sunlight, inclement weather or at night.
• Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test.
• Must be able to pass a 7-year background check.
• Must have a Journeyman Electrician License
• Must be physically able to do all assigned tasks that relate to electrical work.
• Class A CDL a plus.
• Must have a minimum of two years of verifiable work experience as a Journeyman Class 1 or A level craft worker.
• Must be able to demonstrate that they can follow all OSHA Federal Register work requirements as pertaining to the trade.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $38.00 to $45.00 /hour with per diem to those who qualify. Pay DOE
