Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Plant Vehicle Team specialist at the Michigan Assembly Plant to own electrical and electronic module quality, troubleshoot hardware and software, and improve vehicle quality on Bronco and Ranger programs. You will act as the first line of defense and drive interim and permanent corrective actions.

You will collaborate with global teams, lead design-related trials, and use DET and Ford tools to triage and resolve issues, including stop ships and FTT resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience with quality containment and corrective action processes
• 2+ years hands-on experience with GSAR, JIRA, BSAQ, QED, SREA, AIMS, WERS, IRIS/SIMPSN or ability to learn quickly
• 1+ years using DET and FDRS for vehicle triage

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver current model design projects with support from core and VFG leaders.
• Initiate/support WERS Concerns (CR) and alerts for design changes and plant trials.
• Maintain clear daily communication with Direct Supervisor/Peers while balancing new demands.
• Collaborate with VRT counterparts at Dearborn Truck Plant for common issue identification/containment.
• Lead plant trials for quality, cost, and supplier improvements.
• Support plan to resolve stop ships/builds, campaigns, quality issues, and FTT issues.
• Support daily binning meetings, daily plant quality meetings, biweekly VRT report outs, and monthly Vehicle Quality Reviews.
• Support Launch on major and minor programs using DET and FDRS for vehicle triage.
