Job summary

Franklin Electric Co. is offering a Fall 2027 Electrical/Software Engineering Co‑op in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role integrates engineering teams through hands‑on assignments that connect academics to real‑world product and manufacturing challenges under experienced engineers and cross‑functional partners.

You will assist with design, development, testing, data analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement across projects, contributing to safe, reliable, and cost‑effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing accredited bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Completion of foundational engineering coursework required.
• Previous internship/co‑op or hands‑on project experience preferred but not required.
• Must meet co‑op program eligibility at your college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of products, systems, processes, and tooling.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret engineering data to support validation, problem‑solving, and decision making.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing) to support project execution and deliverables.
• Prepare technical documentation, present project results, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
