Role Description

The Electrical Service Technician - Commercial (2nd shift) is a full-time, hybrid role based in Covington, GA, and jobsites within a 90 mile range from the home office. On a typical day, the technician will perform on-site electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations for commercial clients, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, completing field service calls, and conducting preventive maintenance on equipment and wiring systems. The role involves reading and interpreting electrical drawings, adhering to safety regulations and company standards, and accurately recording service activities and materials used. The technician will interact directly with customers, provide clear explanations of work performed, and collaborate with team members and supervisors to schedule jobs and support project timelines. The applicant should be comfortable with working a primarily 2nd shift schedule. Additional pay bonuses for 2nd shift work applies. Provided applicant has an acceptable MVR there will be a company provided service vehicle which can be driven home each day.

Qualifications

• Strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for commercial electrical systems and equipment.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective solutions.
• Experience in Field Service work, including on-site visits, equipment inspections, and service documentation.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
• Valid electrician license or certification (as required by Georgia regulations) and knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Ability to work safely with power tools, test equipment, and materials, following OSHA and company safety standards.
• Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Covington, GA, and willingness to work in a hybrid on-site.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or apprenticeship in electrical work is preferred.
• Effective time management, attention to detail, and capability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Drug screen and background check requirement if selected. Work is primarily in the k-12 public school and County Government facilities.
