Position Summary
As a successful Service Manager at CEC, you are expected to manage all aspects of the service department to ensure its continued profitability and growth. This includes but is not limited to overseeing the daily dispatching and efficiencies of our service technicians and department, reviewing all billing and warranty claims, and interacting with other managers in respect to their warranty, start up and installation needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, direction, and control of all phases of the electrical service operations of the company.
- Evaluate and schedule service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
- Bid on and accurately maintain service agreements.
- Meet goals and maintain customer satisfaction for the company.
- Work closely with clients, lead technicians, and other office staff members.
- Train, develop, and hold your team accountable to performance standards and key performance indicators.
- Participate in budget planning and meeting preparation.
- Ensure thoroughness in billing for all parts and materials.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects, and smooth operation of the department.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years’ management experience in a service industry.
- High school diploma, GED, or its equivalent required.

- Detail oriented and a highly organized multi‑tasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fast‑paced and goal‑driven environment.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office and able to learn new technologies.

- Excellent verbal, phone, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mechanical and installation understanding of the tools and equipment that technicians use.
- Self‑sufficient, self‑motivated, proactive, and able to find and organize customer base and service‑related information.
Work Environment
This job may be performed inside or outside with possible exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and weather elements in restricted or confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces. The job may have exposure to working on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other typical heavy construction exposures. This role also operates in an office setting. The employee routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of the jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, standing, or stretching.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Move about on the feet regularly. Sit for extended periods of time.
- Requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- May require travel.
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
- Talk and hear, ability to communicate with others both written and orally and by telephone.
- Possess good vision, normal or corrected. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Possess good hearing, normal or corrected. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest), as needed.
- Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts, as needed. Must be on‑call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
- Must be able to work in the presence of customers and their representatives with little or no interference or disruption to the customer while maintaining a professional and courteous image.
