JH Kelly, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Manager to lead the Electrical Service Department. You will oversee field crews, estimate and bid service work, coordinate dispatches, and ensure safety and quality in every project.

Position Description

JH Kelly is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the operations within the Electrical Service Department, managing field crews, coordinating jobs, estimating and bidding electrical service work, organizing execution of work with dispatchers, supervising field foremen, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The Electrical Service Manager is part of the Service Team and is responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer support through various administrative support tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a skilled leader with strong organizational abilities, a customer-focused mindset, and a commitment to safety and team collaboration.

Here’s a deeper dive into what you’ll take on:

Operations & Service Management

• Oversee daily Electrical Service operations, including service work performed by electricians and technicians, estimating and bidding electrical service work, and ensuring deliverables meet customer needs in a timely manner.
• Work with the billing team to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget.
• Work with the dispatch team to assist with the coordination of deliverables and service work.
• Answer incoming phone calls from the field and assist as necessary.
• Perform general office tasks to keep the Electrical Service Team organized and on track, communicating work in progress with the service team.
• Reviewing completed service calls and project work for accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise field foremen and electrical field crews, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Promote and lead by example teamwork and customer service when interacting with internal and external customers.

Safety & Compliance

• Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Prepare and propose electrical service work and small projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinating and performing job walks for new electrical service opportunities.
• Support business development efforts by maintaining customer relationships and identifying service opportunities.

Project Coordination & Scheduling

• Coordinate job mobilization and demobilization efforts with service dispatch and field crews, including:
• Assisting with scheduling and coordination of electrical service projects with field crews and dispatchers.
• Represent the Electrical Service Department at internal operational meetings, project kick-offs, and site visits.
• Notify dispatch and warehouse teams of materials being ordered for service and project work.
• Ordering materials and equipment for electrical service projects and awarded work.

Customer Relations & Communication

• Communicate with customers and service team members promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform additional tasks as required.

Position Requirements

What You Bring

• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Electrical Service operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and/or construction. Previous leadership, supervisory, or foreman experience preferred. Experience estimating, proposing, and bidding electrical service work. Strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair practices. Experience in safety regulations and best practices in electrical service operations.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Washington State electrical regulations, and applicable safety standards. Proven ability to quickly build relationships with customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Demonstrated excellence in customer service, organization, planning, and communication skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Mindset: Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative, with a commitment to safety, quality, and driving innovation through technology.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites and work overtime as needed. Physical ability to walk job sites, climb ladders and stairs, and work in both office and field environments.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Candidates must have specific vision abilities, including close vision and distance vision. The role involves regular communication, requiring the ability to talk or hear effectively. Additionally, the employee must frequently sit, walk, stand, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, or climb.
