Magic Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air in Boise-area Garden City is seeking an Electrical Service Apprentice to join our team. You will work alongside licensed electricians to diagnose and repair electrical issues in homes and businesses, gaining hands-on experience from day one and building a long-term career in the electrical trade.

You will assist with service calls on outlets, switches, panels, and lighting, and perform tasks under supervision while learning safety practices and client

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrollment in or interest in an electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical issues.
• Support service calls involving outlets, switches, panels, lighting, and wiring.
• Perform basic service tasks like pulling wires, running conduit, and mounting devices under supervision.
• Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials for each assignment.
• Document job notes, parts used, and photos for each service call.
• Keep job sites and company vehicles clean, safe, and organized.
• Take part in training and safety meetings to build technical and customer service skills.

QualificationsRequirements

Education

Experience

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Physical Demands and Conditions

• Lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in varied weather conditions
• Occasionally working in confined spaces

Work Environment/Travel

• Field-based role requiring travel to residential and commercial job sites
• May require evening, weekend, or on-call shifts

Ability to pass background check and drug screening
