Job summary

Magic Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air in the Boise area is looking for an Electrical Service Apprentice to join our team and work with licensed electricians to diagnose and repair electrical issues in homes and businesses.

You’ll be hands-on from day one, building skills toward a long-term career in the electrical trade. This full-time role includes travel up to 25%, on-the-job training, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrollment in or interest in an electrical apprenticeship preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safety practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical issues
• Support service calls involving outlets, switches, panels, lighting, and wiring
• Perform basic service tasks like pulling wires, running conduit, and mounting devices under supervision
• Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials for each assignment
• Document job notes, parts used, and photos for each service call
• Keep job sites and company vehicles clean, safe, and organized
• Take part in training and safety meetings to build your technical and customer service skills

QualificationsRequirements

Education

Experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Physical Demands and Conditions

• Lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in varied weather conditions
• Occasionally working in confined spaces

Work Environment/Travel

• Field-based role requiring travel to residential and commercial job sites
• May require evening, weekend, or on-call shifts

Ability to pass background check and drug screening
