Job summary

Argonne National Laboratory seeks an Electrical Safety Lead to provide managerial and technical leadership for the Laboratory's electrical safety programs. You will develop, implement, and continually improve policies, training, and field support, acting as SME and AHJ to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.

Key responsibilities include leading the QEW program, mentoring staff, and coordinating safety investigations and audits.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Ability to lead a team of electrical safety specialists.
• Experience developing and implementing electrical safety programs and conducting audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and implement electrical safety policies and plans.
• Lead the electrical safety team and coordinate the Electrical Safety Committee.
• Serve as site AHJ and Electrical Field Lead for codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, IEEE).
• Perform inspections of electrical installations and OSHA compliance evaluations.
• Provide training and mentoring on electrical safety practices, including LOTO.
