Job summary

Jenco in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Safety Manager to build a proactive safety culture across the business unit. You will ensure regulatory compliance and partner with operations to create safe, efficient job sites.

You will lead safety training, incident investigations, and performance reporting, driving continuous improvements while supporting return-to-work processes and worker safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in construction safety management.
• Deep understanding of OSHA standards and practices.
• Certifications: OSHA 500, CPR & First Aid, Emergency Response.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and audits.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Position Summary

Jenco is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, implement, and maintain a proactive safety culture across the business unit. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations while partnering with operational leaders and field teams to create safe, efficient job sites. The Safety Manager works closely with Operations, HR, and executive leadership to reduce risk, prevent incidents, and drive continuous safety improvement. This role reports to the BU President / Safety Director.

What You'll Do

Safety Leadership & Culture

• Promote a safety-first culture aligned with company values and operational priorities
• Provide visible leadership through regular site visits, inspections, and crew engagement
• Coach supervisors and field leaders on safety expectations, accountability, and best practices
• Design, implement, and support safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, state/local regulations, and company safety policies
• Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
• Maintain required safety documentation, certifications, and reporting
• Monitor regulatory changes

Training & Development

• Develop and deliver safety training programs for all staff
• Support onboarding safety orientation for new hires
• Identify training gaps and recommend solutions
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and leadership coaching sessions
• Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Track and analyze safety metrics, trends, and leading indicators
• Implement preventative measures and continuous improvement plans
• Support return-to-work and workers' compensation processes as needed

Operational Partnership

• Collaborate with operations and field teams to integrate safety into planning and execution
• Provide safety guidance for preconstruction, project startup, and service operations

Administration, Reporting & Communication

• Provide safety information during the prequalification process
• Maintain accurate records, dashboards, and reports
• Review, update, and maintain the BU Safety Manual annually
• Communicate safety performance to BU leadership and the corporate team
• Participate in safety reviews, strategic planning, and corporate safety meetings

What You Bring

• 3-5 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in commercial and/or industrial electrical trades
• Deep understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
• Certifications: OSHA 500, CPR & First Aid, Emergency Response
• Experience conducting incident investigations and jobsite audits
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain any required security clearances/badging
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a satisfactory driving record (insurable)
• Ability to travel as needed
