Job summary

Jenco is seeking a Data & Communications Manager to lead the division, directing Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field teams while owning safety, quality, and profitability. The role reports to executive leadership and shapes the division's growth strategy.

You will oversee operations from estimating through closeout, manage budgets, and build strategic relationships with owners and general contractors across Arizona. Travel to active jobsites is involved.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in structured cabling, communications, security, AV or related low-voltage construction.
• 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing multiple PMs and field teams.
• Proven track record managing departmental budgets and financial performance.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent).

• Set division goals, budgets, and performance targets - and own full P&L responsibility
• Lead and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel
• Oversee operations from estimating through project closeout, keeping projects on schedule and budget

• Support estimating, bid strategy, and contract negotiations on major projects
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance across all jobsites
• Partner with HR on hiring, workforce planning, and employee development
• Identify growth opportunities and help shape the division's strategic direction

We deliver commercial and industrial electrical, data, and communications projects across Arizona, and we're looking for a hands-on leader to build and grow our Data & Communications Division.

The Role

We're hiring a Data & Communications Manager to lead the overall performance, profitability, and growth of Jenco's Data & Communications Division. You'll direct Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field teams, and own everything from safety and quality to P&L and client relationships. This is a high-visibility leadership role reporting to executive leadership, with real influence over how the division grows.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• 10+ years of progressive experience in structured cabling, communications, security systems, audio/visual, or related low-voltage construction
• 5+ years in a leadership or management role, ideally overseeing multiple Project Managers and field teams
• Proven track record managing departmental budgets and financial performance
• Strong understanding of commercial construction project delivery
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills

Nice to Have

• BICSI, RCDD, PMP, or OSHA 30 certifications
• Experience with structured cabling, fiber optics, DAS, wireless infrastructure, security/access control, CCTV, or A/V systems
• Familiarity with Spectrum/Trimble, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project

A Bit More About the Job

This role splits time between the office and active jobsites, with regular travel between locations. Expect some walking, standing, and climbing on site visits, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, and exposure to typical construction-site conditions (weather, noise, jobsite hazards).
