Job summary

National Technology Transfer, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Safety and Automation Instructor to deliver comprehensive Arc Flash training following NFPA 70E and OSHA 1910.331-335. The role requires extensive field experience and the ability to teach from classrooms or industrial sites.

The instructor will cover electrical safety standards, maintenance practices, and automation fundamentals including PLCs, with travel across the United States and occasional international assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience as electrician with 10+ years in electrical trades (last 3 years).
• Teaching experience in electrical safety codes within 4 years.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, Arc Flash, NFPA 70B and OSHA 1910:331-335.

Responsibilities

• Teach Arc Flash Electrical Safety per NFPA 70E and OSHA regulations.
• Cover electrical maintenance standards and automation fundamentals (PLCs).
• Deliver eight-hour classroom or industrial facility courses.

Job description

This is a Remote position. - Daily rate - $650/$950

The Electrical Safety and Automation Instructor position is responsible for teaching Arc Flash Electrical Safety following NFPA 70E with OSHA 1910.331-335 regulations, as well as electrical maintenance standards and automation fundamentals (including PLCs), to a variety of NTT's clients.

• Electrician with at least 10 years of hands-on field experience in the electrical trades within the last three years
• Previous teaching experience in electrical safety codes and standards within the last 4 years
• Working knowledge and field experience in NFPA 70, NFPA Arc Flash 70E, NFPA 70B (Electrical Equipment Maintenance) and OSHA 1910:331-335 Electrical Safety
• Familiarity with OSHA 1910.269 and related electrical safety regulations
• Experience with PLCs, including programming, troubleshooting, and industrial application
• Experience in teaching eight-hour-a-day courses in a classroom-style environment or industrial facilities
• Current driver's license

• Ability to communicate technical information to participants of all experience levels, e.g., electricians, maintenance personnel, planners and engineers
• Ability to travel on a consistent basis within the United States, and occasionally internationally
• Ability to interface with the Sales Department concerning customization of training
• Proficiency in PowerPoint presentations
• Be able to communicate effectively via email and cell phone
• Ability to apply the concept of Arc Flash Analysis
• Ability to function independently in a highly efficient manner
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Computer literacy (Windows, MS Office)
• Proficient in public speaking for delivery of course materials
