Job summary

Jet Industries is seeking an Electrical Residential Estimator to join our Salem estimating team. You will develop bid proposals, verify material needs, and collaborate with the GM, PM, and foremen to keep projects moving from bid to closeout.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience, strong take-off skills, and the ability to work autonomously with trades. Knowledge of Assemble/BIM 360/Revit is preferred; English proficiency is required for on-site communication and

Qualifications

• 3–5 years estimating electrical new or remodel work.
• Experience with estimating and quantity take-offs.
• Ability to work autonomously or with trades to develop cost estimates.
• Develop details and metrics for costing.
• Create order-of-magnitude pricing for change packages.
• Ability to cost estimate electrical scopes of work.
• Reference current market pricing and capabilities.
• Plan and schedule cost/change package implementations; manage costing software.
• Comment on and confirm trade and market pricing.
• Build relationships with trade partners, clients, and consultants.
• Engage Subcontractors on change issues without harming relationships.
• Read and interpret construction documents (blueprints/shop drawings/specs).
• Experience with Assemble, BIM 360, or other Rev it model engagement software.
• Basic proficiency in English for safety and on-site communication.

Responsibilities

• Create bid proposals for projects.
• Verify material needs and spec compliance.
• Resolve design issues with appropriate personnel to keep estimating moving.
• Assist GM in negotiating project bids and costs.
• Assist GM in negotiating materials purchases.
• Call for bid results.
• Check material pricing.
• Review contracts to ensure scope matches bid.
• Attend kickoff/ turnover with PM, GM, Foremen.
• Evaluate projections with GM/PM.
• Periodically review projects for quality and client satisfaction.
• Attend closeout meetings to analyze historical data.
• Maintain a historical database.
