Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is seeking an Electrical Reliability EDS Testing Specialist for the Battleground Manufacturing Complex in La Porte, TX. The role focuses on electrical testing, preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of medium- and low-voltage systems.

You will operate Omicron test sets, Tan-delta/VLF gear, and insulation testers. Candidates must have a HS diploma and 2+ years in HV substations, with NEC/NFPA70E training preferred.

Qualifications

• Last 2+ years in testing and preventive maintenance of high voltage substations and electrical distribution systems.
• Experience with testing and PM of 12.47kV down to 480V MCC main breakers and associated equipment.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC standards and safety procedures.
• Proven ability to analyze test data and recommend corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and testing on electrical distribution systems (12.47kV to 480V) and on substations (138kV/69kV).
• Operate and program test equipment; follow plant procedures and industry standards.
• Analyze data, generate reports, and coordinate actions with reliability teams and contractors.
• Develop scopes of work, JSAs, and coordinate contractor activities as needed.
• Ensure safety permits, LOTO reviews, and QA/QC for contractors.
