Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for the Alvin, TX facility. The role focuses on testing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe operation of electrical distribution systems from 138kV to 480V MCCs, with emphasis on NFPA 70E safety.

The technician will analyze test data, coordinate with reliability teams, and support contractor activities while maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in high voltage industry with last 2+ years in testing and PM of HV substations and distribution systems.
• Two-year Associates in Electrical or Electronics Technology or equivalent preferred; NETA is a plus.
• Ability to obtain TWIC card and operate safely under NFPA 70E guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical distribution systems from 138kV down to 480V MCC main breakers.
• Analyze test data, recommend corrective actions, and coordinate with reliability teams and contractors.
• Create switching orders and execute high voltage distribution switching and isolation.
• Provide technical liaison to maintenance and operations groups and support capital projects.
