Job summary

Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Chester, PA seeks an Electrical Reliability Technician to support plant reliability on 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and overtime. You will read blueprints, participate in failure analyses, and lead repairs on high-speed equipment as part of a safety-focused team.

The role requires an industrial electrical background, ability to work on elevated platforms, and willingness to continually learn and apply maintenance concepts.

Qualifications

Job description

Electrical Reliability Technician – $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus. Chester, PA.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in a High‑Performance Work Team environment, sharing knowledge and skills with all other team members.
• Support the planning and execution of daily/weekly and shutdown activities.
• Participate in failure analysis and equipment/systems troubleshooting, identify patterns of failures and ways to design out failures.
• Participate in shutdown planning and two‑week planning processes, including work and parts preparation.
• Read blueprints, schematics, drawings and related technical literature as required.
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment, including analog and digital systems.
• Maintain a work schedule of 12‑hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Lead repairs on high‑speed rotating equipment and, on occasion, lead operators, maintenance technicians, contractors, suppliers.
• Work with and on occasion lead workers on elevated platforms, catwalks, scaffolding and enter confined spaces.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor or high school diploma/ GED, Grade 12 certificate.
• Either a 2‑year related technical degree with ≥3 years industrial electrical work experience or 5+ years industrial electrical work experience.
• Basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• Ability to read and write basic English.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and respond to call‑ins as required.
• Ability to work on elevated work platforms, catwalks, scaffolding and enter confined spaces.
• Pass pre‑employment assessment, drug, background screening and post‑offer Physical Abilities Test.
• Follow site and asset safety practices and procedures; value working safely.
• Understand predictive/preventative maintenance concepts and demonstrate willingness to learn and continue education.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in a manufacturing field or equivalent.
• Experience with high‑speed manufacturing and converting equipment.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of Variable Speed and Motion Drive Systems and AC Motors, especially Allen‑Bradley PowerFlex and ABB Drive systems.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, especially Allen‑Bradley Controllogix (RSLogix5000).
• Knowledge of Modicon and G&L PLC system programming.
• Knowledge of Human‑Machine Interfaces (HMIs), especially Panelviews, FactoryTalk programming and Virtual Workstation environments.
• Knowledge of Allen‑Bradley PLC GuardLogix and non‑PLC based safety systems (MSR/GSR/SIS).
• Knowledge of OT Network Systems, especially Ethernet and ModBus‑based systems.
• Knowledge of digital sensors, camera vision systems.
• Knowledge of electrical construction, maintenance, safety fundamentals, NEC and NFPA70E codes.
• Knowledge of DCS, Honeywell TDC 3000, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View.
• Knowledge of instrumentation field devices: pressure, flow, level, temperature transmitters and switches.
• Knowledge of low voltage (600V and less) Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and panelboard experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medium voltage MCCs (2300V) is a plus.
• High voltage distribution power system experience (13.2kV to 69kV), including oil circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear breakers and high voltage switches.
