York MW (IL) – Elgin, IL 60124 is seeking an Electrician Technician to troubleshoot and repair equipment, minimize downtime, and support the maintenance team on various projects.
Responsibilities include electrical troubleshooting, wiring, replacing components, reading schematics, and working with PLCs to keep production running. 3rd shift, off-hours as needed, with safety compliance and teamwork driving daily tasks.

The electrician technician will handle troubleshooting and repairs to keep equipment running and minimize downtime while supporting all other members of the maintenance group with any other repairs, projects, etc. deemed necessary by the department manager.

The employee is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required and assigned from time to time.
Voltmeter, conduit benders, assortment of hand and small power tools, computer, basic office equipment, tow motor, etc.
Employees are expected to follow all facility safety guidelines that include adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Food Safety as outlined during their training.
Manufacturing environment working around machinery, moving equipment, and loud noise (hearing protection required). Environment is not climate‑controlled and there is exposure to a wide range of temperatures (50°F to 100°F). Possibility of outside work in all types of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, and snow).
Stand for more than 7 hours, sit for more than 7 hours, walk for more than 7 hours, drive 1–4 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and use upper extremities for repetitive tasks such as simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation.
