Job summary

Unity Staffing Services, LLC is recruiting an Electrical / RCDD Engineer to lead electrical and ICT design for complex healthcare facilities in Raleigh, NC. The role bridges power distribution with ICT, guiding projects from concept through delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, an active RCDD credential, and NCEES registration, with at least six years in engineering. Travel up to 20% is required, and Revit/AutoCAD proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Maintain a current Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Possess an active Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
• Have current registration with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
• Demonstrate a minimum of six years of experience in the architecture or engineering sector, with at least two years in a licensed professional capacity.
• Exhibit strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete design lifecycle for electrical and ICT systems, ensuring seamless execution from planning to project closeout.
• Engineer critical hospital power infrastructure, including emergency generators, UPS, and automatic transfer switches.
• Create and validate ICT specifications that define material standards, installation protocols, and performance benchmarks in alignment with ANSI/TIA guidelines.
• Conduct advanced electrical analyses, including arc-flash studies, short-circuit calculations, breaker coordination, and medium-voltage distribution planning.
• Guarantee adherence to safety and building codes, specifically NFPA 70, NFPA 72, local regulations, and healthcare mandates.
• Collaborate with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate power, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• Manage project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints while mentoring junior staff.
