Job summary

nVent is seeking engineers to design systems using our core areas: Lightning protection, grounding, bonding, and flexible connections. You will analyze customer documentation and design custom solutions tailored to requirements, providing technical advice to support the sales team in quoting.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and other engineers, produce engineering documentation, and use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office to create designs and simulations.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering.
• Experience with interpreting technical requirements and producing engineering documentation.
• 3+ years in an engineering function is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer documentation: requirements documents, construction drawings, 2D prints, and 3D models.
• Design custom solutions based on customer requirements in core areas: Lightning protection, grounding, bonding, and flexible connections.
• Provide technical advice to aid in developing an optimal customer solution.
• Produce engineering documentation for customer review and approval.
• Support the sales team during quoting and collaborate with manufacturing during design and production.
• Use engineering design and simulation software tools; seek process improvements from concept to implementation.
