Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Control leader to oversee the planning, implementation, and supervision of QC plans across multiple sites.

You will ensure compliance with contract requirements and coordinate with inspectors, engineers, and clients to meet project quality goals. The role requires extensive QC oversight on diverse construction activities, development of testing protocols, and robust documentation to support non-conformance resolution and

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of work experience in quality control roles.
• Knowledge of code stamps and welder certifications.
• Familiarity with construction workplace health and safety concepts.
• Applicable certification in Quality preferred.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows.
• Meticulous attention to detail and completes documentation in timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and oversee Quality Control plans and testing plans conforming to contract requirements and Thompson’s “best practices”.
• Review records relating to testing data, and applying statistical quality control procedures.
• Ensure all Quality Control records are maintained in an orderly, up-to-date and secure manner.
• Develop working relationships with customers to maximize opportunities and address needs.
• Establish policies and procedures for Quality Control of field work.
• Provide field construction quality control oversight on projects.
• Develop quality control reports and progress reporting.
• Coordinate activities of QC groups across construction phases.
• Issue non-conformance reports and provide corrective action.
• Ensure materials and workmanship comply with plans, specs, and codes.
• Lead the organization in defining Quality Control standards with new work features.
