A leading engineering firm is seeking a Quality Control Specialist with over 10 years of experience in large-scale EPC projects for a long-term contract in Indiana. The role involves acting as a client representative on-site, ensuring adherence to standards for electrical implementations. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Experience in the pharmaceutical or oil and gas industries is preferred, with the ability to work five days a week on-site.

Qualifications

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures by Fluor and subcontractors.
  • Identify work fronts and collaborate with Fluor to resolve issues.
  • Support resolution of field hiccups with practical solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise in large scale electrical installation at green and brownfield facilities.

Job description

  • 10+ years QC for electrical implementation
  • Ability to work with contracting firms (this one is Fluor) and cross check their work with the installation
  • Project Size Experience: $100M+ preferred (current project $1.3B).
  • Pharma preferred, oil and gas ok

Long-term contract - 1-5 years

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as client representative in the field (not directing work).
  • Monitor and verify that installed electrical equipment and components are consistent with Fluor standard plan and national electrical code
  • Ensure Fluor and subcontractors adhere to quality standards and procedures.
  • Identify work fronts, ask questions, and collaborate with Fluor to resolve issues.
  • Serve as the eyes and ears for quality compliance on-site.
  • Provide technical expertise in large scale electrical installation at green and brownfield facilities
  • Support resolution of field hiccups by working with Fluor to develop practical solutions.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years in QC for large-scale EPC projects.
  • Industry: Pharmaceutical or Oil & Gas preferred.
