Job description

  • Oversight of plant and clean utility equipment, including water systems, WFI, HVAC, chillers, and coolers
  • Development of risk plans and mitigation strategies with key stakeholders

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of utility equipment scope and serve as the primary technical representative.
  • Ensure EPCM partners and contractors follow approved scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Challenge EPCM recommendations to safeguard Owner interests.
Commercial & Contracting Support
  • Review award recommendations, change orders, field changes, and commercial or schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate closely with vendors through design, fabrication, FAT, delivery, and on‑site support.
Technical Coordination
  • Collaborate with process, piping, E&I, automation, C&Q, and facilities teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Participate in constructability, maintainability, and schedule reviews.
  • Track equipment schedules and proactively address vendor‑related risks.
Field & Installation Support
  • Maintain on‑site presence as needed to support field execution.
  • Ensure utility equipment installation aligns with design requirements, specifications, and GMP standards.
  • Partner with construction, QA/QC, and safety teams to resolve field issues and NCRs.
  • Support walkdowns, punch lists, installation readiness, and system turnover.
  • Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities for utility systems.
  • Review and approve turnover documentation.
  • Work with Operations and Quality teams to ensure system readiness and handover.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in pharma/biotech engineering or project management
  • Strong knowledge of utility systems, including WFI, clean steam, HVAC, and process utilities
  • Experience with GMP, validation, vendor management, and mechanical equipment projects
  • Proficiency with project management tools; strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, dynamic environments
