Job summary

The Weitz Company, LLC is seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to support electrical construction activities on a major data center project in Des Moines, IA. This field-based role requires inspecting underground duct banks, cable tray systems, and bus systems to ensure compliance with NEC and project specs.

You will document inspections using Procore, Bluebeam, and other QA tools, coordinate with field teams, and uphold safety and quality standards on site, typically six days a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of construction or field quality inspection experience (electrical preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience using Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical installations for compliance with project specifications and NEC requirements.
• Perform delivery and equipment inspections to verify condition and documentation.
• Support inspections and testing of low- and medium-voltage cable installations.
• Verify torque, termination, and workmanship of electrical equipment.
• Document and track inspections using quality systems such as CxAlloy, Nexus, Procore, or ACC.
• Coordinate with field, commissioning, and project management teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Maintain strong knowledge of electrical codes and compliance requirements.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and project specifications accurately.
