Marathon Electrical Contractors LLC in Irondale, AL is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Manager to join our project teams. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and superintendents to implement the QC plan and ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards.

You will review contract documents, manage field inspections, and lead the start-up and commissioning of MEP systems. A strong background in electrical methods and at least 5 years in QA management are expected,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a quality assurance manager within the construction industry.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong understanding of electrical means and methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and superintendents to run QC activities.
• Review contract documents, drawings, specs, and engineering reports.
• Manage the implementation and compliance of the QC plan.
• Lead regular meetings and issue minutes with the team.
• Review submittals and specifications; inspect installed work.
• Train site personnel on QC issues and manage defect item processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• The Quality Assurance Manager will work closely with all members of the project team (project managers, engineers, superintendents)
• Review of contract documents (drawings, specifications, engineering reports, etc.)
• Manage the implementation of the project's QC plan and assure compliance with it by the team completing the work
• Conducting regular meetings and issuing minutes
• Review of the specifications and project submittals
• Inspection of installed work
• Training for job site personnel on QC issues
• Development and management of defective items
• Resolve complex quality-related issues in the field by working with the design team, subcontractors, and inspectors
• Coordinate inspection activities with the third-party inspectors
• Participate as a member of the start-up and commissioning team for MEP and low voltage systems
• Professionally represent Marathon Electrical Contractors as an interface with owner, design team, and general contractors

Compensation will be based on experience/qualifications and negotiated at time of interviews. Degrees are not required.
