Job summary

FTI is seeking a QA Engineer 1 to lead QA/QC planning, documentation, and training on field projects. You will work with preconstruction and project managers to define QA/QC requirements and ensure installations meet electrical specifications and NEC codes.

Strong communication and hands-on field experience are essential. Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering or related degree, with 5 years of field commissioning experience and proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering or BS EE Technology, or an AA/AS degree.
• 5 years of hands-on field commissioning experience.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and electrical specs.

Responsibilities

• Define QA/QC requirements with project teams; establish QA/QC deliverables.
• Create relational data sets from project drawings and submittals.
• Document equipment installations per specifications; train field staff.
• Support project managers with reports and field QA activities.
• Inspect installations to ensure conformance to design and codes.
