Job summary

nVent is seeking candidates for a weekend shift (Fri–Sun, 6:00 am–6:30 pm) to perform comprehensive product inspections and enforce strict quality control. The role emphasizes precise measurement, NCR initiation, and adherence to ISO procedures while supporting global operations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year in quality processes, experience with precision measuring tools, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in quality process; QA/QMS exposure preferred.
• 1 year experience using precision metal fabrication measurement tools and techniques preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, paint mil gauges, hardness tester, CMM, measuring tables, optical comparators, testers).
• Ability to organize, plan workload, and work self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive product inspections based on work instructions, checklists and drawings.
• Prioritize tasks as directed by Operations Supervisors to maintain efficiency and meet goals.
• Identify non-conforming products that do not meet requirements.
• Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for non-conforming products.
• Ensure there are no active NCRs before completing inspections for strict QC and compliance.
• Apply precision gauges and tools to determine conformance to acceptance criteria.
