Job summary

Knight Electric, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent in Justin, TX to support procurement across electrical construction projects in the US.

You will source, quote, and place orders for conduit, wire, boxes, fittings, and shop supplies while expediting deliveries and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of electrical procurement experience, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in electrical/construction.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with procurement/ERP software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source and place purchase orders for electrical materials and supplies to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Obtain and analyze competitive quotes for material requisitions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and coordinate deliveries.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships to ensure reliable, cost-effective sources.
• Track order status and expedite shipments to avoid project delays.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure purchases comply with policy.
