Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Proposal Engineer to drive technically robust and commercially competitive bids in energy resilience. You will lead the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, collaborating with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver winning solutions.

The role emphasizes coordination across disciplines, handling inquiries, pricing strategies, and risk-aware tender responses while advancing standardised templates and best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Proposal Engineer or similar technical-sales role.
• Strong understanding of engineered solutions in energy, industrial, or related sectors.
• Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals for complex requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
• Strong commercial awareness and costings principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organization to manage multiple deadlines.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel/PowerPoint.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver technically accurate, commercially competitive proposals.
• Review customer enquiries, specifications, tender docs, and technical requirements.
• Develop proposal solutions aligning with company capabilities and objectives.
• Produce clear submissions, scopes of supply, cost estimates, and docs.
• Ensure proposals meet timescales and customer deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the sales and bid process.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and commercial teams.
• Support customer discussions and technical clarification meetings as needed.
• Ensure proposed solutions comply with standards and company requirements.
• Coordinate multiple proposal activities, monitor progress, and manage inputs.
