Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Superintendent for a data-center focused electrical contractor subsidiary EPI Power, LLC. This role demands strong leadership on-site, schedule and budget control, and proactive safety management to deliver fast-track electrical construction projects.

You will lead subcontractors, coordinate field teams, and work with project managers to ensure accurate documentation and timely communications with owners, designers, and engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Superintendent experience required.
• Experience on data center projects highly desired.
• Electrical background required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary leader of subcontractors and field forces on a job site.
• Maintain project safety in accordance with the Company’s Safety Policy.
• Work with the Project Manager(s) to manage the project schedule and budget.
• Prepare two-week look ahead schedules.
• Update project schedules utilizing scheduling software.
• Assist with the buyout and selection of subcontractors.
• Coordinate the work of the subcontractors’ field forces.
• Communicate effectively with owners, designers, and engineers.
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed, accurate, and timely.
• Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide opportunities to help the team develop, learn, and grow.
• Foster positive relationships on the jobsite.

EPI Power, LLC (“EPI”) is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers. This role requires a 6-day per week schedule, Monday – Saturday.

What You’ll Do:

• Act as the primary leader of subcontractors and field forces on a job site
• Maintain project safety in accordance with the Company’s Safety Policy
• Work alongside the Project Manager(s) to manage the project schedule and budget
• Prepare two-week look ahead schedules
• Update project schedules utilizing computerized scheduling software
• Assist with the buyout and selection of subcontractors
• Coordinate the work of the subcontractors’ field forces
• Communicate effectively with owners, designers, and engineers
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed, accurate, and timely
• Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures
• Provide opportunities to help the team develop, learn, and grow
• Foster positive relationships on the jobsite

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

• 5+ years of Project Superintendent experience required
• Experience working on data center projects highly desired
• Electrical background required

Skills:

• Ability to read/interpret construction documents
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Excellent project organizational skills
• Impressive leadership skills with the desire to teach, mentor, and develop a team
• Business acumen and relationship building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Technology:

• Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire
