Job summary

gpac is recruiting on behalf of a local electrical contractor in New Jersey for an Electrical Project Manager. The role will oversee commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects from start to finish, coordinating schedules, budgets, and teams while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with contracts.

The position offers a competitive base salary based on experience, with bonus potential, health insurance, 401K, paid vacation, and a company vehicle or allowance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical project management experience with an electrical contractor.
• Proven track record managing commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and project scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects from start to finish.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance.
• Monitor job progress and provide leadership to field personnel.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve project challenges to maintain efficiency and profitability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
