Job summary

gpac is recruiting an Electrical Project Manager on behalf of a local electrical contractor in the Pittsburgh area. The role oversees commercial, industrial, and institutional projects from start to finish, with emphasis on schedules, budgets, and client coordination.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of electrical PM experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems and blueprints, and proven leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical project management experience with an electrical contractor.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and project scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Stable work history.
• Proficiency with project management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects from start to finish.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance.
• Monitor job progress and provide leadership to field personnel.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve project challenges to maintain efficiency and profitability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
