Job summary

Baker Electric is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator with Business Development skills to produce and assemble bids for electrical transportation projects and then manage those projects to successful completion. This role sits within the Transportation Group and focuses on building competitive estimates and delivering projects within bid budgets.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in PM/estimating in electrical construction, 1–3 years in business development, and familiarity with

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in project management and/or estimating within the electrical industry.
1–3 years of experience in business development or sales a plus.
IBEW Journeyman preferred and/or CA Electrical JW License.
Experience with electrical transportation projects in the $500k–$5mm range is a plus.
Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, ConstructJob, MS Project, or estimating software.

Responsibilities

Analyze drawings and specifications to perform take-offs and compute accurate project costs for bids.
Prepare and submit bid estimates and proposals with minimal risk and competitive outcomes.
Lead or assist in obtaining prices from vendors and subcontractors for bids.
Manage project hand-off, planning, and kickoff to inform the team.
