Job summary

gpac is seeking an Electrical Project Manager in the Houston area to lead local commercial and industrial projects from contract through completion. This role emphasizes ownership of projects with a strong backlog and local market focus.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical construction and prior PM experience, with solid budgeting, scheduling, and coordination skills to drive projects safely and on time in our local market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction experience.
• Previous Electrical Project Manager experience.
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical background.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction.
• Experience managing project budgets and schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction projects from start to finish.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and profitability.
• Review plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with General Contractors, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen to keep projects on schedule.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs and financial performance.
• Attend project meetings and maintain customer relationships.
• Help resolve project issues and keep work moving forward.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

A well-established local electrical contractor is looking to add an experienced Electrical Project Manager to their team. The company has a strong backlog of local commercial and industrial projects and is looking for a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from contract through completion.
